Limited Edition Portland Marathon & HalfApril 19-25, 2021
What is this race?
This COVID-safe, in-person, one-time-only race does NOT replace the Portland Marathon. It is its own event with its own unique experience. Registration, which includes a free coaching program, is open Kickstarter-style through December 31. Learn more on the Race Info page.
How Registration Works
There will be seven days of the Limited Edition Portland Marathon & Half, with a cap of 100 participants per day. Race dates include Monday, April 19, 2021 through Sunday, April 25, 2021.
Registration will open at 12:00 noon (Pacific Standard Time) on Thursday, December 10th, 2020. During registration, runners will be required to indicate which day(s) they will be able to participate in the race by checking a box next to each potential day (April 19-25). This will not be a ranking process whereby runners indicate their order of preference; rather, runners will declare which day(s) they will be available to race. Runners who indicate multiple days of availability will be assigned their final race day once registration closes.
Registration will close at 11:59PM on Thursday, December 31, 2020, or when all available entries have been filled (whichever comes first). The event will only take place if the race entirely sells out prior to the deadline of December 31. If all 700 entries are not filled by December 31, the race will be cancelled and all registrants will receive a full refund. Runners are encouraged to wait to book their travel until they receive confirmation that the race will proceed and their race day has been assigned.
Before registering, make sure you have read and understand the cancellation, withdrawal, deferral, and transfer policy as outlined on the Race Info page.
All registrations include entry to the race as well as enrollment in the Limited Edition Portland Marathon & Half Coaching Program. The Coaching Program includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and is tailored specifically for the Limited Edition Portland Marathon & Half course.
Runners will be given customizable training calendars with pre-loaded mileage and workout routines. Instructional videos and tutorials will be provided in the Coaching Program library to assist runners in properly completing the training process. Workout pace calculators and course strategy material is also included.
Once the race reaches its cap and sells out, runners will receive an email with instructions regarding how to access the Coaching Program tools.
*Prices include race entry AND Coaching Program enrollment
Please note the following before registering
- Once the race is sold out, there will be no refunds, withdrawals, or deferments, even if the race is cancelled for any reason (including COVID-19). Transferring your registration to another runner is allowed through March 31, 2021.
- Face coverings must be worn throughout the duration of the event.
- Wave assignments may not be made until several weeks prior to race week. The first wave each day begins at 5:45AM, and the last wave begins at 6:00PM.
- This one-time-only race does not replace the traditional Portland Marathon in October. It is its own stand-alone event with its own unique course.
