Consistent Effort with Potential for Progress Karthick maintained a steady and consistent pace throughout his 10K at the 2025 Portland Marathon. His splits were quite telling of his focus on pacing. He started strong with a 13:03 minute/mile for the first mile, placing him at 574 overall. While he experienced some fluctuations in pace, his speed remained consistent with splits ranging from 13:03 minute/mile to 15:10 minute/mile. Notably, his quickest miles, the first and fourth, were completed with a pace of 13:03 and 13:57 minutes per mile respectively. Overall, Karthick completed the 10K with a total time of 1:28:06. Even though he ended up placing 1506 out of 2114 participants overall, Karthick demonstrated the ability to sustain his pace across the distance. Polishing those mid-race miles could enhance his future performance, particularly in terms of maintaining even pace with the initial momentum he showed early in the race.
