Progressive Pacing Leads to Strong Finish Thomas Bassler participated in the 2025 Portland Marathon Half Marathon, finishing with a time of 2:30:30 and an average pace of 11:29 min/mile. Notably, Thomas's pacing improved consistently during the race. The splits in miles 11 (11:07), 12 (11:01), and 13 (10:00) show an impressive increase in speed towards the end of the race.
