Strong Finish with a Negative Split! Henry Kaus completed the 2025 Portland Marathon 10K with a time of 1:06:56, averaging a pace of 10:47 min/mile. Starting with consistent early splits of 11:03 min/mile for the first two miles, Henry's performance showed admirable steadiness. Although the split for mile three increased to 12:02 min/mile, he strategically picked up the pace in the latter part of the race, culminating in a strong 9:28 min/mile for the final mile. This indicates a well-executed negative split toward the end. Henry finished 724th overall out of 2114 participants, 403rd among male runners, and maintained a strong position in his M19-24 division, finishing 33rd. The ability to significantly drop the pace in the final stretch demonstrates Henry's strength and focus on maintaining energy for a powerful finish.
