Strong Start, Adaptive Strategy Elbert Girón demonstrated an impressive initial phase, maintaining consistent pace improvement over the first five miles, hitting a low of 6:36 min/mile at miles four and five. Notably, he moved up significantly in his division, reaching 10th place by mile four. This strategic use of pacing gave him a strong presence early in the race. Though his pace slowed in the latter half, Elbert adapted by stabilizing his pace, averaging around 9:30 min/mile for the final miles, finishing with an overall pace of 8:41 min/mile.
