Consistent Pace with Room to Refine Nathan started strong at the 2025 Portland Marathon, pacing the first mile at 6:16, which helped secure an early overall position of 28th. Miles 4 through 6 maintained a steady pace of 6:20 per mile, reinforcing his position in the field. Notably, the 8th mile was his fastest, clocking in at 6:09, improving his position to 24th overall. The second half of Nathan’s race saw some slower miles, particularly from mile 15 onwards, where the pace dropped to 6:57 and further to 7:31 by mile 16. This stretch also saw a gradual dip in his placing within his division from 6th to 17th by the race's end. Final results showed an elapsed time of 2:57:08 with an overall ranking of 53rd out of 3445 participants. Working on sustaining pace in the later stages can be beneficial for future races.
