Consistent Pace Leads to Strong Finish Randy Villa demonstrated impressive pacing throughout the 10K MindRX Group event at the 2025 Portland Marathon. Beginning with an initial mile paced at 8:47, he consistently improved his pace, progressively getting faster with each mile. Notably, his split pace fell to 7:34 by the 6th mile, showing strong pacing strategy and endurance. Randy completed the race with an overall time of 50:49, achieving an average pace of 8:11 per mile. He secured 10th place in his M35-39 age division. While maintaining a relatively stable place in the overall and gender categories, he showed significant improvement in the age division, rising from 14th to 10th throughout the race. For future races, continuing to build on this strong foundation and focusing on maintaining even faster paces in earlier splits could yield even better results.
