Strong Comeback with Consistent Finish Gemma Devine demonstrated a determined performance in the 2025 Portland Marathon's 10K MindRX Group race. Starting with a solid opening mile split of 11:07, she was positioned 6th in the F1-14 division. Although her second and third mile splits saw a decline in pace to 13:24 and 15:48, respectively, she maintained her resolve, only slipping to 14th in her division. The final three miles showcased Gemma's resilience. Notably, she achieved her fastest split in the fourth and fifth miles with an impressive pace of 10:02. She closed out the race with a strong finish, ranking 13th in her division with an overall time of 1:12:21. Given her ability to adjust and deliver in the latter stages of the race, focusing on consistent pacing in the early stages might help to enhance future performance.
