Steady Progress with Room to Gain in Last Mile Kristin maintained a consistent pace throughout most of the race, finishing the 10K with an overall time of 1:15:11, and an average pace of 12:07 min/mile. She began with an initial split of 11:57, and showed a slight slowdown on the third mile with a pace of 12:46 min/mile. Following this, she picked up momentum, reducing her pace to 11:53 min/mile for the fourth and fifth miles, showcasing her ability to recover well mid-race. For future races, evaluating the strategy for the last mile could be beneficial. Kristin's overall place improved notably between the third and fourth miles with a jump from 1034th to 525th overall, but she placed 1099th during the last split. Analyzing the factors that led to the final mile’s result may provide insights for maintaining or improving her consistency towards the race's end.
