Steady Improvement with Strong Finish Adam Souza demonstrated a consistent and progressive performance at the 2025 Portland Marathon in the 10K MindRX Group event. Starting with a steady pace of 10:51 min/mile for the initial 2 miles, Adam maintained his position with no change in the standings. From the 3rd mile onward, however, he showed improvement, reducing his pace to 10:34 min/mile and advancing his placement significantly from 780th to 592nd overall. In the final stretch, Adam achieved his fastest split of 9:19 min/mile between miles 5 and 6, culminating in a finish time of 1:04:39, with an overall pace of 10:25 min/mile. This strong closing push elevated him to 584th overall and 41st in the M40-44 division. Focusing on increasing early mile split speeds could further improve final placements. Nonetheless, Adam's strategic acceleration and endurance, especially toward the end, were commendable.
